New Year with Some Changes

It's hard to believe it's the start of 2012 already! I want to thank all of you wonderful customers for your support. The past few months I have been so busy with new orders, which was such a blessing as my husband was finishing school. I have loved doing custom orders- it's so much fun to see everyone's different projects! So thank you for keeping me busy and inspired!

As we start a New Year there are a few things I am having to change with my business. Since the majority of my orders are custom, I am going to have to start charging an additional design fee. I hate to have to do this, but it's taking time away from my family to create these designs so I have to make that time away from them worthwhile. The pricing for the actual vinyl will not change though, and I will post my pricing below. In order to keep your cost minimal, I would suggest knowing exactly what you want when you place your order. (Check out kevinandamanda.com or dafont.com for font ideas, you can type in your saying on dafont.com and see how it will look in all of their fonts!) This also helps me to get your order to you as fast as possible. If you don't mind spending the extra time or money, I am willing to make as many design changes as you'd like. In this time of financial hardship for many of us, I am sorry to have to add an additional cost. I know my pricing is extremely low, so I hope knowing you will get a completely custom design will be worth the added charge!

Another change I am happy to announce is my ability to accept credit/debit card payments! There is a small fee of 2.75% (of your total) for me to swipe your card, and 3.5% (of your total) plus $0.15 for me to manually key in your card number (if you wanted to pay over the phone, etc.). If you have any questions about this new service, please don't hesitate to ask!

I am also going to start selling squeegees for installing vinyl as well as vinyl removal tools. See my pricing list below for pricing on these tools. Any orders over $100 will receive a free squeegee with their order!

New Machine!!!

Yep, ordered a new machine today!!! So excited! Hopefully it will come fast so I can get all my orders filled! I'll keep you posted as to when I'm up and running again, hopefully by next week I'll be back in business!

Then it will be time to start thinking about another Make & Take, don't ya think? ;)

Technical Difficulties and a Broken Machine

Yep, not the best summer for Stick It...

We've moved twice this summer and somewhere in all the moving a very vital piece to my machine was lost. It's a small removable piece on the end of the machine which you'd think would be easy to replace. Well, apparently it's not. The company I bought my machine from said it's "not available at this time". What?!? They say it's a pretty standard part and I should be able to get it anywhere, but I'm not having any luck! I'm hoping to get it fixed soon though, but if I can't find the part then hopefully I'll be getting a new machine! If you have orders you're waiting for, I'm so sorry and I'll do my best to get them to you as soon as I can! Thanks for being patient though, I have the best customers ever! :)

On to the next issue: my website. After the many hours I spent adding all the info to my website, I'm sad to say I had to shut it down. It will be up for about another week, but after that you won't be able to view it. Quick explanation- as I was reviewing the site activity, I found that there were several referral sites that were not up to my standards (ahem adult sites). Not sure why or how an ad/link for my site got on these sites but it made me sick to my stomach just thinking about it, especially since my address and email are available to anyone who views my website!

So, needless to say, I'll be building my own website and spending many hours adding all the important info again...Once my new site is up and running I will let you all know!

The Make & Take order list is closed, but if you still want kits to do at home, I'd be happy to put them together for you! I can even do multiple kits if you want to plan your OWN craft night with friends & family!

It's time for a CHRISTMAS Make & Take!

Come join us for another night or day of fun, crafting, and yummy food!

Since it's a busy time of year, I decided to do 2 different days for this Make & Take. You can choose if you want to come:

Thursday Dec. 9th from 8:30 pm - 11:00 pm

OR

Saturday Dec. 11th from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

*If you can't come either day but still want kits, these projects are easy enough that you could assemble them at home! I'd be happy to put kits together for you even if you can't come!

Since this is NEXT week, I'll need all orders/payments ASAP

but for sure by MONDAY Dec. 6th at 9:00 pm.

Here are the projects that will be available:

Kit #1 (Merry Christmas/Let it Snow Block) ~ $6.00

Kit #2 (Days 'Til Christmas Board) ~ $22.00

Kit #3 (Snowman Board) ~ $18.00

The colors will be matte pink and matte sage green- close to the one on the link posted.

We will distress the edges and use cute satin ribbon too!

Kit #4 (Board with saying of your choice) ~ $12.00

This is kind of an example of what you could do...this one would be a little bit more since there is a layover on top of the HOME, but I wanted you to at least have a visual!

Here is the info I will need from you for each kit:

Kit #1: Nothing!

Kit #2: Choice of paint and vinyl color (red or green). The example shows a red board with green vinyl, but you can choose which color combination you want.

Kit #3: Nothing!

Kit #4: Choice of paint and vinyl color, saying, and font.

Fonts and Sayings can be found on my website. If there is a font you would like but don't see on my website, email me the font name and I will look into getting it. Saying will need to fit on one line and the sizing is 22" x 4" (to fit on a 24" x 6" board). If you would like more than one line or a layered look, you will need to contact me for an updated kit price. I will need this information at least by MONDAY, if not sooner so that I have time to do the design and get the vinyl ready. If you would like to see a proof of the saying and font you've chosen, email me and I'd be happy to send you one!

ALL MATERIALS INCLUDING PAINT, GLUE, MOD PODGE, ETC. WILL BE PROVIDED!

Kits will be assembled prior to the night/day of the event, so I will need to know which kit(s) you would like by the Monday before the event.

Payments will also need to be in that MONDAY in order to gather materials for the night/day of the Make & Take.
